{Colosseum}
Roma, Roma, Roma. Being our last stop in Italy, we really let our inner tourist run free here. It was all too easy to lose ourselves in the hidden depths of this Italian city’s artistic heritage, enchanting streets and rich history. It was like taking a step back in time as we visited the Forum and Colosseum, wandering its sophisticated and vast civilisation. The food only got better; the gelati (I’m saying ‘gelati’ not ‘gelato’, as there was never a one-scoop kinda day…), pizza and pasta were even more scrumptious, and a shot of Limoncello to sip after dinner was a fitting farewell to the city and this beautiful country. Rome evoked sheer amazement and wonder in me as we explored the Ancient ruins, religious icons and outstanding art. I can't wait to return and explore it all again sometime soon.
Ciao for now, Italia!
