Yo-yo Biscuits + Sunshine Award

Baking never fails to put us in a good mood, and when we stumbled across this recipe for classic Yo-yo Biscuits, we couldn't pass up giving them a go! They were a complete success without being overly sweet, due to the subtle hint of lemon in the icing, which provided a slight citrus tang to the biscuits.

A few days ago, we were thrilled to learn that we had recieved a second award for Honey & Lulu. We would like to say a big thank you to Bec, author of Daisy and the Fox, for awarding us the Sunshine Award. We are very appreciative to be recognised in this way; the acknowledgement has made our week!

The Sunshine Award is symbolised by a flower that one blogger can give to other 'bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere'.

As with a most awards, the Sunshine Award comes with a few simple rules:

- Acknowledge the person who gave this award in a blog post
- Answer the questions below
- Pass on the award to 10 deserving and inspiring bloggers, inform them and link to their blogs

1. Who is your favourite philosopher?
While not a philosopher, the quotes of Dr Seuss certainly inspire us, and in particular, this one:
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"

2. What is your favourite number?
10

3. What is your favourite animal?
Elephants and zebras... We also adore dogs!

4. What is your favourite time of day?
Dusk, leading into the evening - the sunsets that come with this time of day are just beautiful!

5. What are your Facebook and Twitter?
We don't actually have either, but a Facebook page, and also Pinterest are high on our list of things to do

6. What is your favourite holiday?
Christmas most definitely! Nothing beats this time of year, with its jolly festivities, present buying, and most importantly, baking of course!

7. What is your favourite phyiscal activity?
Walking - we also like to run together, but walking is a great way to catch up at the end of the week

8. What is your favourite non-alcoholic drink?
Elderflower cordial with sparkling mineral water - the flavour is just divine, and very refreshing coming into the warmer months!

9. What is your passion?
Shopping and food! We have a serious passion for fashion and food!!!

10. What is your favourite flower?
Peonies

The deserving recipients we have chosen to award are:

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!
